Hardwick Benfer conducts independent investigations of alleged misconduct by employees and high-ranking executives. We also have experience in investigating student conduct issues at the college level.
A prompt and thorough investigation of improper workplace activity is required to prevent and remediate a situation that may lead to significant employer liability if not addressed. Hardwick Benfer brings skill and sensitivity to investigations. Because of our experience and strong reputation as advocates for employees, our investigations have credibility. Our independent investigations free the employer’s regular counsel to focus on other litigation prevention measures or to defend litigation without fear of conflict of interest or endangering attorney-client privilege.
Virginia Hardwick and Tiffanie Benfer are both members of the Association of Workplace Investigators. Before beginning her law practice, Tiffanie Benfer conducted investigations in her role as Assistant Director/Judicial Coordinator in the Georgetown University Office of Student Conduct. Jill Walsh has extensive experience in the area of workplace investigations following an 18-year career in human resources.
