Federal law requires that most employees be paid at least federal minimum wage and overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 hours. The minimum wage in Pennsylvania is the same as the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour. New Jersey’s minimum wage is currently $13.00 per hour in most incidents and is set to increase in periodic increments to $15.00 per hour by 2024.
